Unlock Gryphic Victory: A Guide to Obtaining the Strongest Longsword in Dragon 's Dogma
To snag the Gryphic Victory, a standout longsword in Dragon's Dogma, head to Gran Soren pronto. Once you're there, hunt down Ser Berne, the vigilant guard instructor stationed at the Encampment just north of Cassardis. Slide him a Foreign Knife as a gift, and voilà! A quest dubbed A Parting Tribute will pop up on Gran Soren's inn quest board. Embark on this adventure, and the Gryphic Victory shall be yours. Now, brace yourself for a jaunt through the game's open world. Your mission? Escort Ser Berne to the Shadow Fort, nestled beyond the mountains east of Gran Soren. You've got two routes at your disposal: the quick-and-dicey shortcut through the Abandoned Mine in the Ancient Quarry region or the longer, bandit-infested path northeast of the Encampment and along the coastal highland. Opting for the shortcut? Hold tight! Bandits are itching for a tussle as soon as you step foot in the mine, and you might stumble upon a couple of ogres deeper within. Don't fret, though. Dispatching the bandits is a walk in the park, and you can always sneak past or bolt past the ogres if need be. Should Ser Berne opt for fisticuffs, scoop him up and skedaddle. If not, tag team those ogres with him, then hit the road once they're toast. The Gryphic Victory kicks off with a base Strength of 368 and can max out at a whopping 1091 Strength once beefed up. While it might not dabble in the game's flashy magic system, it reigns as the heavyweight champ of longswords at this stage of the game. On the prowl for an upgrade? Consider swapping it out for one of the longswords lurking in the post-game of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen:
