Rescue Grand Duke Ravengard: Baldur's Gate 3 Walkthrough

In Act 2 of Baldur's Gate 3, if Counselor Florrick makes it through Act 1, she directs players to the Last Light Inn in the Shadow-Cursed Lands, where she tasks them with rescuing the Grand Duke, supposedly held at Moonrise Towers. However, Duke Ravengard isn't there. The first glimpse of him occurs when players eavesdrop on the champions of the Dead Three discussing their plans, just before the Ketheric Thorm boss battle. Ravengard and his cohorts depart before the battle commences, reappearing in Act 3.

Following Gortash's appointment as Archduke, players encounter Ravengard in an underwater prison beneath Wyrm's Rock Fortress. This precarious rescue mission intertwines with the Steel Watchers quest. To reach Ravengard, adventurers should start at Flymm Cargo warehouse, bypassing locks and foes to reach a hidden submersible bay. Here, they confront Redhammer the Deviser, employing persuasion or deception to gain passage to the Iron Throne, where Ravengard is held.

Upon confronting the Iron Throne, players face Gortash's warnings but proceed regardless. Explosions trigger a time-sensitive rescue operation amidst sahuagin assaults. Ravengard's cell lies in the eastern room, his liberation pivotal for the party. If Wyll renews his pact, Mizora enhances Ravengard's defenses; otherwise, she summons explosive spiderlings, posing a threat. Rescuing other hostages is crucial, ensuring their survival before the base explodes, potentially leaving behind casualties. The aftermath sees Ravengard's reunion with his son, marked by tension and relief.
