Stationing Guards in Unicorn Overlord: Unlock, Deploy, Reap Rewards

To station guards effectively in Unicorn Overlord, you must first liberate a town through completing various quests. Once liberated, you gain access to amenities such as the Armorer and Provisioner, as well as the opportunity to recruit new team members and aid in the town's reconstruction. Initiating this process involves making deliveries, a pivotal step in unlocking the ability to station guards. For instance, when we ventured to La Criselle Town in the southeastern corner of Cornia, we encountered two Restoration Requests: one demanding 3 Honey Apples and the other calling for 10 Meager Scrap Metals. Fulfilling these requests unlocks the 'Station a Guard' option, enabling you to select a guard from your party roster and assign them to the town.

Once a guard is stationed, various benefits unfold. Guards contribute to your coffers by increasing gold earnings from battles and gathering resources from nearby foraging spots. Notably, stationed guards remain deployable in battle and can be integrated into predetermined unit formations. Thus, you have the flexibility to station guards in multiple towns if desired. Following the completion of each stage battle, stationed guards yield additional War Funds and scavenge materials from foraging sites, bolstering your team's finances and augmenting resources available for deliveries and town restoration efforts. These rewards are bestowed at the culmination of every stage, offering a continuous boon to your endeavors.
