How to Build, Upgrade, and Care for Coops and Barns in Farming Game
To embark on building a Coop, we first need to shell out 2,000 Coins to the Carpenter for the blueprint. This essential plan calls for 100 Planks of Wood, 50 Stones, 5 Bronze Bars, and 10 Fibers. Once we've secured the necessary materials, construction commences, taking two in-game days to complete. Once the Coop stands tall, it graciously houses up to four chickens or ducks. However, it's worth noting that with an upgrade to Level Two, other creatures like quail and peafowl can find a home within its walls.
Moving on to the construction of a Barn, starting from Town Rank F, we can procure the blueprint for 3,000 Coins from the Carpenter. The assembly process kicks off once we've amassed 200 planks of wood, 100 stones, 5 bronze bars, and 10 fibers. Initially, at Level One, the Barn accommodates four cows and sheep. Yet, with successive upgrades, it becomes a haven for pigs, llamas, and luwaks, broadening our farm's diversity.
Once our Coop or Barn stands proudly on our farm, a visit to the Ranch and a chat with either Jack or Kenny will provide access to a variety of animals for sale, contingent upon our Town Rank. Upon attaining Rank B, a myriad of Coop and Barn animals become available, including cows, sheep, goats, pigs, llamas, luwaks, chickens, ducks, quails, and peafowl. Initially, our choices are limited to the four starter animals: Chicken and duck for the Coop and cow and sheep for the Barn.
Ensuring the well-being of our farm animals is paramount. Daily feeding and attention, such as petting, are imperative. Hay serves as the staple food for our furry and feathered friends, while investing in auto feeders, petters, and collectors can streamline the care process. However, maintaining their happiness is crucial for optimal productivity, as content animals yield higher quality products.
As our Town Rank ascends to E, the opportunity arises to upgrade our Barn, requiring an expenditure of 6,500 Coins, along with 40 hardwoods, 100 stones, and 10 fibers. Conversely, achieving Town Rank C unlocks the ability to enhance the Coop, involving a payment of 4,500 Coins to the Carpenter, along with 20 hardwoods, 50 stones, and 10 fibers.
In terms of profitability, peafowls reign supreme. Their feathers fetch a handsome price, with base-quality ones selling for 1,085 Coins and larger ones for 1,475 Coins. Nonetheless, pigs, llamas, and luwaks also prove lucrative, aiding in the production of rare and valuable artisan items.
