Paladius Location, Combat Tips & Utility Guide
Where to Find Paladius
We're on the hunt for Paladius, a formidable Pal in the world of Palworld. Don't bother scouring the wild day or night; Paladius won't show up there. You've got two options to add this powerhouse to your Paldeck: either hatch it from a Huge Common Egg, the easier route, or take on the challenge of facing a Level 50 Alpha Boss Paladius.
To track down the Alpha Boss, head over to the Deep Sand Dunes fast travel point and make your way northwest. But hold on tight; Paladius teams up with Necromus, doubling the challenge. And if that's not enough, brace yourself for the scorching desert heat, which chills out at night. To endure the battle, prep for the cold and heat with these essentials:
- Assault Rifle: Perfect for quick attacks, especially if you aim for the head.
- Rocket Launcher: Deals heavy damage and stuns Paladius and Necromus briefly.
- Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor: Keeps you warm during chilly nights.
- Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor: Shields you from the blistering daytime heat.
- Hyper Shield: Quick to regenerate, offering top-notch defense coverage.
Don't forget to enlist Frostallion Noct and Shadowbeak, two Pals packing serious Dark damage, ideal for taking on Neutral types. Both come with a mounting partner skill, giving Dark-type attacks an extra oomph. And Hoocrates' Dark Knowledge? A must-have support partner skill, boosting the power of Dark moves. Stock up on Legendary Pal Spheres; they're your best shot at catching Paladius effectively.
What Is Paladius Good For?
Paladius isn't just a warrior; it's a valuable asset at your base. With Level 2 Lumbering and Mining capabilities, it helps gather essential crafting materials like Wood, Stone, and Ore. But don't expect it to shine early on; you'll only snag Paladius in the game's latter stages.
Paladius' partner skill, Holy Knight of the Firmament, lets you mount it, granting a triple jump ability—a handy feature for navigating tricky platform gaps. To unlock the Paladius Saddle, you'll need to hit Player Level 49 and craft it using Leather (x100), Ingot (x300), Paldium Fragments (x85), and Refined Ingot (x200).
Paladius in Combat
Paladius is renowned as Palworld's ultimate defender, boasting unmatched Defense stats. Its HP is nothing to scoff at either, though its attack could use a boost. Thankfully, Paladius is versatile, compensating for its lack of super-effectiveness against other elements. Here are its natural moves:
- Ice Missile: Fires ice lances with a power of 30 and a three-second charge time.
- Power Shot: Focuses energy into a blast with a power of 35 and a four-second charge time.
- Power Bomb: Charges massive energy for a destructive blast with a power of 70 and a 15-second charge time.
- Iceberg: Summons a sharp ice lance under enemies with a power of 70 and a 15-second charge time.
- Blizzard Spike: Hurls a giant lump of ice with a power of 130 and a 45-second charge time, damaging surrounding enemies.
- Pal Blast: Fires a high-powered beam across a wide area with a power of 150 and a 55-second charge time.
- Spear Thrust: Paladius' exclusive skill, charging forward with holy power and a shield for protection, power of 130 and a 45-second charge time.
With access to Ice attacks, Paladius is a solid choice against Dragon-type Pals but vulnerable to Dark types. Power Bomb or Iceberg offer quick attacks every 15 seconds, while Blizzard Spike, Pal Blast, or Spear Thrust ensure chaos on the battlefield. Pair Paladius with a Dark type for a winning strategy, shielding you in the toughest battles.
